Office of Government Relations
The Office of Government Relations is responsible for the TCU’s advocacy with all levels of government and for setting advocacy goals and influencing policy. We aim to expand partnerships with local, state, and federal elected officials and government agencies to advance TCU’s strategic objectives and research aspirations.
Federal Relations
TCU’s Office of Federal Relations advocates on federal legislation, regulations, and policies impacting the university. Issues affecting TCU include federal support for research, tax policy, student aid programs, and issues affecting college athletics.
We engage with the legislative and executive branches to advance our interests and collaborate with other universities and associations on key issues.
State Government Relations
Our state government efforts focus on representing TCU’s interests before the Texas Legislature and key Texas state agencies. We aim to tell the TCU story well as we advance our legislative and regulatory initiatives. We invest our time fostering relationships and earning trust as a leading voice on issues important to higher education.
Local Government Relations
Nestled in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, just five miles from downtown, our longstanding relationships with the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, and the many neighboring local government entities are very important to us. We aim to continue fostering these partnerships while working to affect issues important to TCU.
